MANAGEMENT
SAFETY AND RISK CONTROL
"Safety" has often been thought of as an ancillary management activity that is prioritized
behind operational concerns. Safety and operational efficiency are inseparable. An indisputable fact is that
there is no such thing as an unsafe, efficient operation. Avoidance of loss over the long term produces the most efficient
operational returns by eliminating the "Loss of Process” (productive time) and hidden costs associated with accidents.
The
3.5-hour Safety and Risk Control Workshop equips management with a precise understanding of how the negative impacts of employee
injuries affects productivity, costs, quality of service and customer satisfaction. The workshop coaches managers on
how to examine the "system" of management to identify the true causes of employee accidents and thereby eliminate
them at the source. It provides reasons for the "careless" employee and subsequent remedies. To quote
recent attendees:
"This workshop caused me to reevaluate my supervisory role in providing good service."
"For the first time I really appreciate the losses associated with
employee accidents, I have a much better understanding of the things I can do to improve safety."
"This information can be immediately put to use to improve operations."
It is recommended that the minimum attendance for this workshop be twenty-four persons and it should commence
with senior level management.
EMPLOYEE SAFETY AWARENESS WORKSHOP
The difference between effective safety
intitatives and those not so successful sometimes lies with the employee's desire of wanting to follow the safety rules instead
of feeling that they "have to" follow these rules.
This
8-hour workshop is designed to increase your employee' awarness to the importance of safety and motivate them to follow
the company's safety program. The employees will learn to appreciate a genuine responsiblity and accountability for
safety. The workshop entails open discussions about specific safety topics, team building, videos and problem solving exercises.
